About Dagsboro, DE - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Dagsboro, Delaware is a small town found in Sussex County. Situated within the Salisbury, Maryland – Delaware Metro Statistical Area, only about 850 residents call this community home. Dagsboro was originally incorporated into a town in the early 1900s, and the Indian River School District serves the community. However, Dagsboro’s origins date back to the 1630s, when the Blackfoot Indians migrated from what is now New Jersey and settled on a tributary within the Indian River. That village received the name Blackfoot Town, and the name was later changed to Dagsboro once English settlers found their way into the area.

While Dagsboro is a small community, there are a few important businesses and attractions here. The Clayton Theatre is a popular movie theater in the area, and many residents enjoy checking out the fresh produce at Parson’s Farms. Visitors in need of a good home-cooked meal may like to visit Porto Pizza and Grill. Likewise, specialty shops are plentiful in the community, with hot spots including Peddler’s Alley, Dagsboro Antique Center, and Heathman’s Jewelry and Gift Store.

To stay comfortable regardless of the weather, Dagsboro residents need to invest in both heating and cooling systems. During the winter, residents can enjoy cool to cold conditions. Temperatures tend to be milder than other parts of the U.S. with highs averaging in the 30s. Snowfall is not common, but residents must still be prepared for cold fronts with the right electric or gas furnace at home.

Outdoor recreation is especially popular during the summer season, mostly because of the area’s warm temperatures and sunny skies. With average daily highs into the upper-70s, conditions often stay comfortable due to sea breezes from the Atlantic. However, when heat waves push into the area, residents will want access to their central air conditioners. The right system will also improve indoor air quality.
