About Millville, DE - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Sussex County, Delaware, Millville is a small town with about 550 residents. In the last decade, the population here has risen about 110%. Millville sits within Baltimore Hundred in the Salisbury, MD – DE Metro Statistical Area, and it is only a mile west of the Atlantic Ocean. Millville was incorporated in 1906, and at the time, names like Dukestown were considered due to the prominence of the Dukes family in the area.

There are several interesting attractions to see in Millville and the surrounding areas. Outdoor recreation is available at the Assawoman Canal or Holds Landing State Park. Visitors may like to check out a show at Dickens Parlour Theatre, and on a night out, restaurants like Hooked Up Ale House & Raw Bar, Perucci’s Classic Italian Restaurant, and La Tonalteca are great destinations for a delicious gourmet meal. There are also several specialty shops in the community, including Steamers Crab & Seafood Co, Reflections Antiques, and Patti’s Hallmark Shop.

The close proximity of Millville to the Atlantic places the community in a humid subtropical zone. Weather conditions here vary with the season. The year begins with a cool or cold winter, and while snow accumulation may be minimal, cold temperatures can make it uncomfortable. Average daily highs reach into the upper-30s in January, although overnight lows can fall into the 20s or lower. These frigid conditions require residents to invest in a reliable furnace.

The spring and fall months in the Millville area tend to be comfortable and warm, but summer weather is humid and hot. July is the warmest month of the year, as average daytime highs often reach into the upper-70s. Thermostat readings into the 80s and 90s aren’t out of the question, so residents need to be prepared with the right central air conditioner at home.
